Miami, FL (December 17, 2013)—Slow Food Miami, the local, 100% volunteer non-profit dedicated to planting a fresher future for our children, will kick-off the new year with a “Snail Social” event on Tuesday, January 7th from 6-8 p.m. at Oak Tavern in the Design District in Miami. All are welcome to join Snail of Approval winner, Chef David Bracha, along with other celebrated chefs, farm-to-table supporters and Slow Food Miami board members for a casual, social outing in support of local food culture and Slow Food Miami. As in previous Snail Socials, guests will enjoy special Happy Hour prices on signature bites and cocktails to celebrate the season’s harvest. The convivial atmosphere of Oak Tavern’s open plan bar & lounge is the perfect setting for the festive event series to usher in the New Year, allowing guests to freely mingle and enjoy the farm fresh delights of Bracha’s modern American menu and cocktails. During the evening, guests can also enjoy the outdoor patio bearing the restaurant’s eponymous giant oak tree or stay for dinner in its 5,500 square foot rustically modern dining room. This event is free and open to the public.
