Design District Dining for Art Basel Miami Week 2013

The Miami Design District is a unique, 18 square-block neighborhood just north of downtown Miami comprised of creative experiences and is committed to the unity of design, fashion, art and architecture. The Miami Design District is owned by Miami Design District Associates, a partnership between Craig Robins’ company Dacra, and L Real Estate, a real estate development and investment fund, sponsored by LVMH and Groupe Arnault. Below is a list of some of the dining opportunities in this chic neighborhood.

Crumb On Parchment
James Beard Award winning Chef, Michelle Bernstein’s bakery and cafe. Cozy, Country Shabby Chic decor with simple and delicious breakfast, lunch and pastries.

Egg & Dart
The menu honors traditional Greek cuisine by bringing fresh, wholesome cooking and offering diners a sumptuous array of small plates, greek staples like hummus, and main courses of impeccably grilled meats and seafood.

Harry’s Pizzeria
Harry’s is a casual neighborhood joint bringing more fresh, simple, pure food and drink to the Miami Design District. From seasonally-inspired pizzas from the woodburning oven to a new, welcoming counter where local and craft beers freely flow, Harry’s radiates the relaxed vibe on which Michael’s Genuine has built its reputation.

MC Kitchen is the first Miami restaurant by nationally celebrated chef Dena Marino. With an emphasis on seasonal, organic and house-made ingredients, the MC Kitchen’s menu showcases Marino’s rustic Italian heritage.

Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink
Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink is a showcase for the cuisine of Chef/Owner Michael Schwartz, with prices designed to encourage frequent dining. This unpretentious bistro seats 90 indoors and out, with another 14 seats at a handsome bar.

Oak Tavern
The Oak Tavern offers a comprehensive American menu that extends the spirit of hospitality and sharing, with a selection of small plates, snacks, pizzas, charcuterie and large plates as well as daily specials, all crafted from fresh, quality ingredients.

The Cypress Room
A nod to the spirit of classic 1920s fine dining, The Cypress Room is welcoming with a freshly polished finish in food, service, bar, and decor. The dinner menu, composed by chef de cuisine Roel Alcudia, centers around the restaurant’s woodburning grill and rotisserie.
