The Opa-locka Community Development Corporation (OLCDC) will host an evening dedicated to the historic past, present and bright future of the Opa-locka community.

The second annual fundraising event celebrates the ambitious revitalization plan sponsored by the non-profit organization to create visual, physical, and economically-sustainable design that involves and empowers residents, while converting the city into a true “Community of Choice.”

Surrounded by private jets in the newest private hangar of the Opa-locka Executive Airport, guests will indulge in savory, delectable hors d’oeuvres, enjoy an open bar sponsored by Bacardi, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and dance to music by DJ Plan Beats. Philanthropist Tracey Wilson-Mourning will be hosting this festive evening celebrating Opa-locka.

Guests will be treated to live painting, pop-up performances by multidisciplinary artists, a special preview exhibit by renowned New York-based photographer Hunter Barnes (presenting portraits from his recent residency in Opa-locka), and an architectural installation by Germane Barnes. American hip-hop duo Black Violin will perform an eclectic mix of Jazz, hip-hop, funk, and blue grass with Kev Marcus on his violin and Wil B on his viola.
