Free and Open to All

In celebration of Miami’s Downtown Art Days, friends and family of Cannonball and The Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO) gather for a non-athletic, not-so-neighborly game of kickball. To beat the heat, this year we’re throwing in water balloons!

While the teams hustle for the esteemed “best baller on the block” award, the public is invited to give their favorite team an edge by pelting opposing players with water balloons.

Join The Game! This event is free and open to the public. Water balloons will be available for a suggested donation. Rules and regulations will be posted on site.

Perrier will provide complimentary refreshments, while food trucks by Purple People Eatery and Fireman Derek will be on site. In addition, Deferred Archive, the grants and commissions program exhibition at CIFO, will be open for public viewing.

Launched in 2012, Downtown Art Days offers over 125 events and special projects related to art and culture. Art Days has something for everyone from family activities, panel discussions, international exhibitions, bike and walking tours, and more. For event details CLICK HERE.

The Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2002 by Ella Fontanals Cisneros and her family to foster cultural exchange among the visual arts. CIFO is dedicated to the support of emerging and mid-career contemporary multidisciplinary artists from Latin America, who are challenging the established boundaries that define much of contemporary art today.

Based in downtown Miami, Cannonball (formerly LegalArt) is a non-profit arts organization known for its advocacy and innovative programs supporting today’s artists. Core initiatives include: SeminArt, providing free educational and professional development services to artists; LegalLink, an in-house legal advice and referral service for artists and arts organizations; and the Residency Program, which offers long-term live/work space for local artists and short-term residencies for visiting cultural producers.
