Juneteenth is a celebration that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
Our Juneteenth Family Fun Day will offer a day of fun games and activities for children in our kid’s pavilion including face painting, a bounce house, art projects & games. Stage entertainment will include a free concert in the park with performances by the Legends Band with the Balladaire and Terry Parker, Ms. Gospafunk (of the Alexander Sisters gospel group), Army Gideon Band, Ultimate Proof and Reflections as well performances by the members of Winners by Design Girls Mentoring Group and the Delray Divas Step Teams.
Our Health & Resource Fair will offer free health screenings and testing, access to resources and information providers in the gymnasium from 12pm to 4:00pm. We have also invited representatives from service organizations to provide attendees with information about programs that are available to residents including senior services, credit repair and much needed family resources. Outside, the One Blood mobile blood bank van will conduct a blood drive and bone marrow registry.
A Teen Dance to commemorate Juneteenth, which will be held from 8:00 pm – 11:00pm with Dj AK Biggwagon Driver with a live performance by “Reflections”. Please note: A $7 admission fee will be charged to attend the Teen Dance.
