On Friday, March 15, 2013, from 7-10 p.m. Chef Norman Van Aken and celebrity guest host Louis Aguirre of Deco Drive will be celebrating an evening supporting Slow Food Miami, the non-profit organization dedicated to supporting good, clean fair food. The VIP after party taking place from 9:30-midnight will be hosted by Florida Cookery and feature special guest Hedy Goldsmith, Executive Pastry Chef of Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink and author of “Baking Out Loud.”

Serving Miami’s best farm-to-table bites from a lineup of incredible chefs, as well as garden-to-glass cocktails, specialty wines and non-alcoholic refreshments, the event will honor those who contribute to good food and drink authenticity and sustainability. ‘Snail of Approval’ recipient will be announced along with the premiere of the “People’s Choice Award” for the evening’s best bite voted on by guests during the event.

Main event tickets ($85) and limited VIP tickets ($165). Event proceeds will benefit Slow Food Miami’s Edible Garden Program.
