Do you have a drawer of old story drafts you want to revise? Ever think about turning your life story into a memoir? Has movie writing always intrigued you? Creative writing workshops and classes start this spring in Downtown Miami and Coral Gables!
Come Downtown and learn from the best with these spring workshops: Social Media for Writers with Will Plasencia, Advanced Fiction with David Beaty, The Writer’s Journey: How the Movies Can Make Us Better Writers with Nicholas Garnett and Writing Memoir with Kathie Klarrich.
For those who prefer a weekend schedule, Books & Books in Coral Gables will host even more classes: Creative Writing for Teens with Gaby Triana, Storytelling Magic: Tools for Beginning Fiction Writers with Fabiola Santiago and The New Crime Wave: Using Mystery and Suspense in Short Stories with Lynne Barrett.

Open House: Creative Writing @ The Center
Monday, February 11 at 6:30 p.m. MDC Wolfson Campus, Room 2106, 300 N.E. Second Avenue, Miami.
Mingle with fellow writers and learn about The Center’s creative writing offerings prior to a craft talk with visiting author Amina Gautier, winner of the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction for her short story collection At-Risk.

The Center’s non-Credit creative writing courses are offered throughout the year, giving aspiring writers the opportunity to receive critique and encouragement from published authors with extensive teaching experience.
