We are pleased to be kicking off 2013 Season with a A digital Art Exhibition by Jenny Perez & A Body Paint Exhibition by Marcio Karam.
The objective of ‘for artists……BY ARTISTS’ (www.facebook.com/forartistsByArtists) is to create a social colony for artists from all disciplines of the arts with the focal point being on painters, photographers, designers and sculptors. Utilization of the technology at Haven and maximizing its potential is what sets this weekly exhibition apart from others.

About Jenny Perez
Miami native Jenny Perez combines her Latin background with the up-tempo beat of South Florida’s diverse cultures to portray vivid stories of the human spirit through art. With rich bold colors , Jenny Perez fondly creates thought provoking paintings with whimsical
Afro-Cuban accents.
Like many artists, Jenny Perez’s passion for art began in her early youth, and later transpired into a series of original, ingenious compositions — although she initially began career training as a Biology major at the Florida International University. Today, Jenny has collaborated with a list of renowned artists after her collection “Phases†was discovered at the trendy Contesta Rock Hair of South Beach.
Jenny Perez has been featured in noted hot spots in South Florida like Española Way, Uva Restaurant and Lounge, and The Imagine Boutique. As she continues to translate stories in the Art world, Jenny Perez Is rapidly becoming a female prodigy to art collectors of the subtle industry of fine art, new aged pop art, and commercial arts.

The Interview…..
We meet Brazillian born Body Painter, Marcio Karam and we ask him how he got the bodypainting bug ….
“I was born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and as a boy my first passion was surfing but then I found paint and began painting surf/skateboards,first for myself and then for my friends. The opportunity then came for me to move to the USA where surfing took a back seat and Art took over as my new meaning for life. As a young artist I had and tried many ideas and artforms; oil painting, acrylics, watercolor but in the end Airbrush became my media of choice and my father bought me my first full airbrush set up – I was in heaven.
I later graduated with a degree in commercial arts and illustration, and then went on to work freelance and for various ad agencies until I felt I had he honed my skills and decided to go it alone. I opened my first studio MKARTS & DESIGN. That’s when the art went wild, painting cars, bikes, boats, canvases and much more for clients, movies, tv commercials and anybody that wanted custom art, there was nothing that I wouldn’t paint, My motto was “if you bring it to my shop i’ll paint it!â€
As the studio grew the art kept getting better and better and soon I discovered a new medium ‘People’. I started body painting models for photoshoots, tv ,print, car shows and conventions and pretty much any job you could think of and I now run my studio in South Florida with a couple of other artists and focus on creating some of the wildest body art on some beautifull Models. I love taking this art to a new levelâ€
