On Thursday, February 14, join Chef Julie Frans as she captures the magic of places that grab hold of your heart. Essensia’s four-course Passport to Romance Menu will explore the culinary pleasures of some of the world’s most romantic cities, including Paris, France; San Sebastian, Spain; San Francisco, California; Fez, Morocco; and Istanbul, Turkey. Each course on the Passport to Romance Menu will be expertly paired with a wine from the same enchanting city. The Basque town of San Sebastian, Spain inspires the first course featuring a Pintxos Trio of Tortilla Espanola with Romesco Sauce, Serrano Ham Wrapped Date with Manchego, and The Gilda, San Sebastian’s most famous pintxo.

Fez, Morocco seduces diners with a choice of Moroccan Swordfish with Saffron, Capsicum, Mint and Coriander or Tagine Moroccan Braised NZ Lamb with Raisins, Almonds and Honey. Both dishes will be served with Traditional Moroccan Couscous, Sautéed Purslane and Chermoula.

The final stop takes guests to Istanbul, Turkey with a Love me in Istanbul Shared Dessert Plate featuring Sütlac Dried fruits and Nuts Risotto Rice Pudding, Turkish Coffee and Figs Bonbon, Turkish Delight with a SOFL Twist. A mix of art galleries, boutiques, nightclubs, gorgeous Ottoman Mosques and tea gardens makes the legendary Turkish destination deserving of its nickname, the City of the World’s Desire.
