New World Symphony presents a revamping of one of its most popular series, PULSE events with PULSE 2.0: Late Night at the New World Symphony. Pulse 2.0 will feature Miami’s own DJ Sean Drake and world renowned Miami native soprano, Elaine Alvarez. This year’s guests will see the Frank Gehry-designed campus morph into a high-energy nightclub lounge and dance club, while feeding innovative performances into the crowd. VIP Friends of NWS will enjoy cocktails by GREY GOOSE and Nespresso tastings on the rooftop garden prior to the event. DJ Drake, who’s name rings loud from sets at local hubs including Vagabond and Pawn Shop, will be joined by New World Symphony’s Fellows who will be performing compositions from American and Latin-American composers followed by a late-night dance club set that will “pulse” until 1:30AM. New to the series, at 11:15 PM the NWS’ SunTrust Pavilion will transform into “Pulse Unplugged,” conceived like MTV’s hit series “Unplugged,” where Fellows will perform ensemble pieces with no amplification for a 15-minute concert.
