Ultimate Miami Food Truck Competition with Sean Kingston and Shaggy Live

Ultimate Miami, LLC, creator of Miami’s talent competitions showcasing local rising stars in the fields of mixology, entertainment and culinary arts, has unveiled the names of the eight finalists participating in the Ultimate Miami Food Truck competition. The finalists will compete for a cash prize of $5,000 and the title of the Ultimate Miami Food Truck. Plus, pop-reggae artist Sean Kingston and Grammy Award winner Shaggy will perform at 9pm at the Magic City Amphitheater.
“We’re thrilled to host eight of Miami’s all-star food trucks as they battle each other for the title of the Ultimate Miami Food Truck and a cash prize of $5,000. Also, we’ll have live performances from Sean Kingston and Shaggy at 9pm that will be sure to get the crowd on their feet,” said Scott Savin, Chief Operating Officer of Magic City Casino. “The audience is in for an amazing night as they taste delicious food from Miami’s finest food trucks and dance to fun-loving music from Sean Kingston and Shaggy!”
The eight finalists for the Ultimate Miami Food Truck competition are:

The culinary showdown will consist of two rounds of competition that will determine Miami’s Ultimate Food Truck. The first round will involve attendees tasting two dishes from competing food trucks and voting for their favorite. Then, four food trucks will advance to the next round, where they will be judged. In the final round, the select finalists will come in front of a panel of judges that include Where Magazine South Florida editor, Aurora Rodriguez, and radio personality and co-host of 610AM WIOD’s South Florida’s First News, Manny Munoz. The judges will make the final decision in crowning the Ultimate Miami Food Truck.
Musical artist Sean Kingston and Grammy Award winner Shaggy will perform immediately following the competition at the Magic City Amphitheater. Sean Kingston is a Miami born pop-reggae star with Jamaican roots. His first demo ultimately led to the release of a debut album, which sold more than a million copies worldwide and was responsible for three back-to-back Top 10 single hits on the Billboard charts. His best known hits include “Beautiful Girls” and “Fire Burning.” To date, Kingston has sold more than 12.5 million tracks.
Shaggy is among the few reggae artists to top the album and pop singles charts, managing to sustain a career over the course of several successful albums with hits including, “Boombastic” and “It Wasn’t Me.” His album, Boombastic, went platinum, nearly reaching the Billboard R&B Top 10 and spent a full year at the top of Billboard’s reggae album chart also earning him a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
