Aqua Girl is a fundraiser for Aqua Foundation for Women, a foundation dedicated to being the funding catalyst for lesbian, bisexual and transgender wellness and equality in south Florida. This year, Aqua Girl is stepping up and out to deliver an even hotter, sexier, and exciting experience by making our new home at the National Hotel in Miami Beach from May 15 – 19, 2013.
The National Hotel is an art deco legend that has been known throughout history as the hotel of choice for sophisticated jetsetters since 1939. As our guests enter the lobby they will join the ranks of celebrities from Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner, to Mariah Carey and Pitbull. The hotel boasts a restaurant sure to charm any visitor, with a ceiling that features a giant Art Deco tiled portrait of a woman, designed by Tamara de Lampika. In Paris, Lampika was known for leading a bohemian lifestyle and became closely associated with lesbian women and other artists and creative types, including Picasso and Colette. What a nice welcome for our attendees at the conference, making us all feel at home!
Aqua Girl guests can take the plunge and enjoy the longest infinity pool in South Beach. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (May 17-19) the view will be filled with beautiful women ready to party at our famous pool parties, which sell out every year, so be sure to book early!
