Free Your Mind Art Exhibition and Event during Art Basel Weekend

The “Free Mind Society Art Series”, kicks off with the “Free Your Mind” Art Exhibition and Event during Art Basel Miami, with a digital art and button installation in memory of American Icons that fought for freedom, to be displayed during a 1 DAY showing at pop-up gallery.

Designer Amir Youssef, the creative mind behind Chop Shop Barbershop and ButtonRevolution.com, will have an array of buttons from the life and times, of the “Free Mind,” in addition to canvas pieces portraying Seven of America’s Free Minds, including; John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, John Lennon, Chief Black Kettle, Harvey Milk, and Malcolm X. These installations are to honor the valor and courage of men who passionately fought for freedom and pursuit of equality for all man and woman; a passion that ultimately caused their opposition and death by those of their country. This exhibition will be donating 100% of the proceeds of art purchased to the foundations of the featured Great American Heroes.

To celebrate the exhibit, the Alessandra Gold Concept Store in Miami’s Design District will transform completely into AG Studios, a pop-up art space and gallery, to showcase the Free Your Mind Art Exhibition. The interior of the store will house the exhibit while the exterior of the store will additionally be transformed into the theme of the exhibit and will outwardly showcase art. The Alessandra Gold Concept Store, established in 2011, by owner, Alessandra Gold, regularly collaborates and curates known and emerging designers from all over the world; regularly attracting guests from the arts, fashion, vibrant and creative industries, a place where you could very well encounter models, producers, photographers and designers.

Additionally, for this one night only, The FreeBee, the free electric transportation service that is currently exclusive to providing their fun, free transportation experience to the residents of Miami Beach, will be offering FREE RIDES to the guests of the FREE YOUR MIND Art Exhibition and Event, shuttling exhibit guests from within the surrounding areas including, Wynwood, Midtown and Miami’s Design District.
