“Never say goodbye because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting” J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan (circa 1904). We never said goodbye to our parents, instead we said “Nos vemos pronto”, we’ll see you soon.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Operation Pedro Pan Exodus, acclaimed visual artist MANO. internationally renown photographer Victoria Montoro Zamorano and renown painter Humberto Calzada have collaborated to create a contemporary tribute to the 14,000+ children of Pedro Pan, the parents who scarificed and the many who made it possible.

About the Pedro Pan Exodus:
Operation Pedro Pan took place between December 1960 through October 1962, to date Operation Pedro Pan remians the largest exodus of unaccompained children in the Western Hemisphere, over 14,000+ children were transported to Miami from Cuba.
