Hialeah Park opens its doors to Miami Dance Fever

Hialeah Park Race Course will serve as a homecoming for many dance music lovers as Miami Disco Fever returns to Hialeah. Charlie Rodriguez, President of Charlie Rodriguez Live Entertainment is bringing his popular weekly event to Hialeah Park as the historic race track is moving forward to become the go-to for South Florida’s premier events.

Miami Disco Fever is a party that has been popular event for dance music lovers of Disco, Salsa, Freestyle and 80’s Retro. The party will feature free cover and complimentary cocktails for ladies from 9pm till 11 pm. Event goers will be able to listen to sounds by DJ Carlos Sarli, who has was nominated three years running as the best Latin radio Mix Show DJ in the U.S. by the WMC. The party which will be held in the Citation Room on the third floor which overlooks the historical race track and the majestic gardens that Hialeah Park is known for. Attendees will also be able to sample cigars by the Torano Family Cigar co. The party ends when as Charlie said, “The flamingos wake up in the morning.”

Charlie considers the 70’s and 80’s the glory years of Miami nightlife and although involved in coordinating concerts for all forms of music his heart belongs to the Miami Disco Fever party which he created as a labor of love. In 1981 he began the career that would put him in the middle of the intense Miami nightlife scene as a concert promoter. Thirty years later and with a South Florida following that not many can match, Charlie set his eyes on where the Miami’s party crowd once stood strong.

Charlie said,” Many of the event goers who attend my events were once Hialeah residents who have since moved on to other parts of Miami. With the future direction of the park and the current construction of the casino I am looking forward to help usher in the new incarnation of this park which will once again make Hialeah Park the mecca of Miami nightlife.”
