On Saturday, October 27th, Beaux Arts will host an adventure-filled Ball with scarecrows, tin men and lions in the search of brains, hearts and bravery leading them to the Emerald City; conveniently located at the Four Seasons Hotel on Brickell Avenue.
Beaux Arts’ “Emerald City†Ball celebrates 61 years of the organization and its support for the University of Miami’s Lowe Art Museum.
Master of Ceremony for The Land of Oz event will be Miami’s own Stephanie Sayfie-Aagaard, who is a dedicated philanthropist and has her own weekly social column, “Steph Sez,†in the Miami Herald.
The evening events will include a large silent auction, exciting raffle, sit-down dinner, dancing, and a costume and skit competition – all complemented by signature cocktails from Grey Goose. There will also be a dazzling Prize presented by Snow’s Jewelers.
New this year is the use of BidPal, a wireless bidding, donation, and payment tool that is the size and carries the look of an iPhone. With its touch screen, the Bidpal will enable Beaux Arts Ball guests to buy raffle tickets and stay on top of their bids, while socializing and sipping cocktails without having to remain in the auction area.
Another wonderful feature of BidPal is the ‘fund a need’ function. This enables guests to donate money directly to Beaux Arts signature outreach programs, including HANDS ON – which introduces Miami-Dade Title 1 school students to the world of art and museums via field trips to the Lowe Art Museum – as well as the CHILDREN’S PAVILION PROGRAMS – which provide art classes and art camps throughout the year for children ages 5-12. The Bidpal will keep guests engaged in giving while having fun with their friends.
