If you’re like us, your favorite competitive sport consists of two chefs engaged in kitchen combat. We’re talking sharp knives and open flames. The best part? You get to eat the spoils of the battle, along with delicious bites from dozens of Miami’s best restaurants.

This year’s Iron Fork is presented by the Miami Downtown Development Authority and will be held at Grand Central in Downtown Miami on Thursday, October 18th from 7 to 10 p.m., with VIPs getting an extra hour of tasting and partying at 6 p.m. And what’s a cool event without a cause? Iron Fork also benefits the United Way of Miami-Dade.

The event, which is curated by celebrity chef Allen Susser, features two Chef Challenges. It’s simple: each chef will receive a basket of ingredients, including one mystery ingredient. It’s up to them to battle for the glory and the coveted Iron Fork award.

And the battles won’t be relegated to traditional chefs. Even food trucks will get in on the action with the Fighting Food Trucks Best of Battle, featuring Mr. Good Stuff vs Palate Party!
