Cernuda Arte Announces two lectures on Mariano Rodríguez and René Portocarrero
to be imparted by special guest, Professor Alejandro Anreus, PhD as part of a centennial celebration of the births of these two legendary Cuban Modern Masters.

Mariano: Forms and Identity

Art critic, art historian and scholar, Alejandro Anreus was born in Havana, Cuba. He received his B.A. in Art History from Kean College in 1984, and earned his M.A. and PhD in Art History at City University of New York. He has lectured at various prestigious institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art, Harvard University, Notre Dame and Tulane University. He is also a frequent contributor to exhibition catalogs and art publications, and has published numerous books. Currently, Dr. Anreus is Professor of Art History and Latin American/Latino Studies, and Art Department Chair of William Paterson University.
