ArtCenter/South Florida’s Studio Crawl, held every first Saturday of the month, invites visitors to wander throughout the ArtCenter’s two buildings, exchange with our resident artists in their studios, and view our current exhibitions. This weekend is the last chance to see The Afterlife, including works by Byron Keith Byrd, Alex Heria and Franklin Sinanan at the ArtCenter’s Richard Shack Gallery.

Our resident artists’ have initiated a project to present other artists’ works in their studios for one-night, Artists Exhibiting Artists. For this August’s Studio Crawl, three artists will be showcasing three artists: Juan Carlos Arana presented by Anthony Ardavin; Babette Herschberger presenting works by Laz Ojalde; and Stephen Arboite’s work at W. Andre Allen’s studio. All Artists Exhibiting Artists exhibitions are located at 810 Lincoln Road.

A few blocks down on Lincoln Road in our second building at 924 Lincoln Road, you can visit more artists’ studios and additional exhibitions. As you approach 924 and look above, you will see J. Kevin Foltz’ Introspection, a series of autobiographical artworks made with gelatin prints and mixed media that explore his transformation from traditional photographer to exploratory artist. Upon entering the building, Future Wonder Flop, a group exhibition with works by Freddy Jouwayed, Ian Peter Hosfeld and Stephan Tugrul, invites you to experience the pop language in their works in our vitrine exhibition space.
