This THURSDAY, MAY 31ST, connect with other young Puerto Rican and Latino professionals at Cafeina Wynwood Lounge from 6:00 – 8: 00 p.m., while supporting the Miami launch of conPRmetidos. The organization conPRmetidos is a Washington/San Juan-based innovative not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to advancing the development of Puerto Rico’s human potential.

Started over a conversation on how to help the economic and social situation in the island of Puerto Rico, four recent Puerto Rican graduates from US universities created – conPRmetidos – a non-profit organization that will act as a bridge of engagement and social good among their peers who had studied and now work in the United States and those who live in the island. A creative initiative by Puerto Rican Millennials who want to give back to Puerto Rico by creating social and economic opportunities partly through Corporate Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement.

Natalie Trigo, co-founder of conPRmetidos is a graduate of Yale University, and presently works in the office of Supreme Court Judge Sotomayor. Miguel Columna, a graduate of American University, works for the Federal Trade Commission. Both co-founders will be in Miami to answer questions about the organization and give a presentation about the conPRmetidos mission.

The event is partly sponsored by DonQ rum and Cafeina Wynwood Lounge.

This kickoff event joins events in Washington, DC (5/23), San Juan (6/2), and NYC (6/9).
