Surfrider Foundation Cinco de Mayo Surf Party Fundraiserf!
Miami Surfrider and the Miami Surf Archive Project are partnering up to bring you another exciting event of surf, music, and fun.
In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, we will be hosting the premier of Rumors: a Cinematographic journey into Mexico’s deepest surf scene.
On the big screen we will also be projecting rare, vintage surf footage from 1970s Miami Beach, courtesy of filmmaker Bruce Walker.
The evenings activities will include: music by local artist Mike Maytin; a raffle that includes a new surfboard; a ticketed bar serving beer, wine, liquor and non-alcoholic beverages; catering provided by local food truck Gastropod; and various multi-media stations displaying Miami’s surf history.
We will also be announcing the launch of the Bimini-Miami Blue Water Challenge – a never-attempted SUP crossing from Bimini to Miami.
