Knight Foundation Program Director and Former Miami Herald Reporter Matt Haggman Moderates CEO Power Breakfast with Panelists Providing Insights to Successfully Manage and Grow Start-ups

The Miami Finance Forum (MFF) will host a “CEO Power Breakfast” panel discussion titled, “South Florida’s Start-up Culture: Obstacles and Opportunities for Growth.” The panel, moderated by Matt Haggman, program director of the Knight Foundation and former reporter with The Miami Herald, will provide insights on South Florida’s start-up culture and discuss the region’s positioning for continued growth and development. The event takes place at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at The Bankers Club of Miami, located at One Biscayne Tower, Miami, FL 33131.

Speakers will discuss the dynamics of South Florida’s start-up culture, including the current state of affairs, assets and strategies that may yield and stimulate a more active environment for growth and challenges impacting the region. The panel also will reflect on the changes South Florida has experienced during the last decade, with particular regard to the renaissance in the art culture, urban development, and successes of local universities, and explain how these achievements may influence the future development of the area’s start-up industry.
