First Annual “Gables Earth Fest” Celebrates Environmental Responsibility

The City of Coral Gables is hosting its first annual Gables EarthFest, a celebration of planet friendly children activities, exhibits and vendors geared to encourage environmental responsibility and sustainable practices. The event, presented by the Coral Gables Green Task Force and Sustainatopia 2012 and sponsored by EWM Realtors and Richman Green, is free and open to the public.

Gables EarthFest will feature planet-friendly exhibitors and vendors showcasing products and services that offer the community alternatives to live a more sustainable life. There will also be hybrid/electric vehicles displays to promote low emissions transportation and a bike valet for those who are interested in riding to the event. eScrap will be available to collect old computers, batteries, and flourescent lights for recycling.
