The first ever open high school slam will be hosted by City Year at North Miami Senior High School! City Year is a non-profit that tutors and mentors students in the highest need schools.
The purpose of the slam is to promote literacy. High School poets interested in slamming must pay $5. First place gets $100, Second $50, and $25. All extra money raised from the event will support our afterschool poetry club “Unbroken Pieces”.
This event is free and open to the public.
