Inspired by the true story of the South Florida-based band, “China Doll”, UNRAVELING bravely tells a story of self-discovery as seen through the eyes of three siblings after surviving a disturbing and abusive childhood. As they struggle to bind themselves together through their mutual love of music, their love for each other is put to the test, as is everything they think they know about how to love.

UNRAVELING’s haunting score is comprised of songs written by the actual band, featuring music they’ve created and performed over their twenty-year career. Emotionally wrenching, UNRAVELING is uncompromising in its’ portrayal of the journey taken by survivors of abuse, both physical and emotional, while deconstructing the conventions of modern musical theatre to create a sound that is uniquely its’ own.

The Cast: UNRAVELING is performed by real life siblings and members of the band “China Doll” Rossella Lamendola (lead singer & guitar), Renata Annati (vocals & keyboard), and Matt Annati (bass). Directed by Alex Calle and written and performed by Roxanne Lamendola, this reading features Jamie Mattocks, Dylan Block, Patrick Jesse Watkins, Olivia Williamson, Rayner Garranchan and Trent Stephens.
