· Noche de Honor: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (Center Court by Macy’s Women)
The special VIP kick-off cocktail reception, which benefits La Liga Contra el Cáncer and Simon Youth Foundation, will recognize 5 community leaders for their work in the community. The evening will include a presentation of the coveted ‘Noche de Honor’ award, followed by a high-end, Latin inspired fashion show, featuring guest media personalities from Telemundo 51 News. Guests will enjoy a sampling of Latin cuisine from area restaurants. There will also be a musical performance by local Latin pop rock band ODAS.

Saturday, October 1, 2011

· Rhythm of Nations: 1:30 p.m. (Macy’s Women Court)
Shoppers will be exposed to a variety of native music and dance through performances from folkloric groups, entertainers and dance groups representing more than 20 different countries.

· Parade of Native Dress: 1 p.m. (beginning at Sears and culminating at Center Court)
Festive parade that highlights typical Hispanic native dresses as it winds its way through the mall.
· International Pavilion: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (Center Court)
Festive activities throughout the day.

Weekend Celebration to Feature Free Culture Activities Fri., Sept. 30 – Sun., Oct 2

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Miami International Mall is celebrating the diverse cultures and flavors of various Latin American countries during its 7th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration presented by Avianca and TACA Airlines. In partnership with the City of Doral, the free-to-the-public weekend celebration will showcase folkloric music and dance, country exhibits, art and flag displays, live entertainment and a parade of native dresses from South America, Central America and the Caribbean countries.

Noche de Honor supporting sponsors include: USA Bouquet is providing flowers. Participating restaurants include Yogurtbella, Arturo’s, Mondongo’s, Yuquita Express, San Ignacio College,Le Cafe Limoge, Barzola Restaurant and more.
