SeminArt: IP Bootcamp-Copyright Infringement for the Musician
Thursday, August 18, 2011 / 6:00 – 7:30pm
5505 NE 2nd Ave.
Miami, FL 33137
Do you know what is considered copyright infringement? Are you aware of your rights as an artist under the current copyright laws? Do you know how to legally incorporate music into your work as a visual artist? Often it is difficult to measure without the assistance of an attorney or a judge, leading to many court cases dealing with the issue of fair use.
During this program, attorney and artist Michael Longo will discuss what is considered copyright infringement in the music arena, and how infringement is shown in court. We will discuss real-life cases through examples of music involved in various memorable works, helping you to walk away with something pertinent to what you do, which is making music!
LegalArt is going on the road! Join LegalArt and Sweat Records for the first of the series: IP Bootcamp.
