High Heels and Handshakes celebrated their launch event with huge turnout By Betty Alvarez

On July 20th High Heels and Handshakes threw their Official Kick-off Party for at the newly renovated roof top pool lounge of the Westin Colonnade in Coral Gables. Located on the 10th floor, it overlooks beautiful Miracle Mile.

Photographers, press, DJ Papi Love from Sony Pictures, Veev Acai Spirits, Partida Tequila, Hpnotiq Harmonie, Choco Noir Wine, Santos Sangria, Mini-Makeovers by Isabel Amezaga, Stella & Dot, Morton’s the Steakhouse, business women and many more headlined this successful event! With over 300 RSVPs, attendees made business contacts, had a great time, and most importantly made a difference by supporting Women for Women International in which a portion of the proceeds went to. Eventhough this event was geared to the professional businesswoman, Men were also welcome.

It was a fun & beneficial time for everyone!

Donations of used business shoes, jewelry and handbags were welcomed to be donated to Dress for Success Miami. Men also brought their used business clothes and shoes to be donated to Suited for Success.

This is an organization that is very near and dear to my heart. A BIG THANK YOU to all of the sponsors to make this event happen, all the vendors that sold their products and services at the event and most importantly to everyone that attended this event. With your support, you helped change a woman’s life.

However, no words can explain the hard work and dedication that Bonnie Kilpatrick and Christina Ward has placed in this wonderful cause.

Stay tuned to the next High Heels and Handshakes event on Saturday, August 20th.
