(complimentary tapas, paella, sangria and open bar from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; two-for-ones on all tapas and drinks after 10:00 p.m.)

Tapas & Tintos, the acclaimed restaurant located in the heart of South Beach on the famed Espanola Way, celebrates the opening of their second location in Midtown Miami.

On Thursday, June 23rd, one of Miami’s long-standing traditions, Tapas & Tintos, will welcome South Florida’s VIPs to an exclusive Spanish Carnival-themed event to celebrate the restaurant’s newest venture, Tapas & Tintos Midtown.

Owners Nicolas De Justo and Fernando Jimenez invite guests to experience the restaurant’s authentic Sangrias and award-winning cuisine with complimentary tapas and fresh paella made on the terrace by executive chef Fernando Andres from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. Music will be provided by the well-known Rock en Español band Mundos Unidos and after midnight will offer dance beats from the restaurant’s resident DJ. Live entertainment will include Flamenco dancers and fire jugglers that will be performing jaw-dropping, fiery tricks throughout the night.

The longest day of the year, June 23rd also represents the Spanish holiday La Noche de San Juan, where residents of Spain gather to celebrate Saint John the Baptist. Bringing the Spanish customs to life in Miami, at midnight the owners will lead a traditional Conjuro ceremony where a Queimada – a beverage resulting from setting fire to Galician grappa mixed with sugar, coffee beans and pieces of fruit – will be prepared while chanting an incantation against evil spirits. All guests onsite will be able to watch the spell-binding ritual and be able to try some of the exotic blend.

Tapas & Tintos features authentic Spanish tapas and sleek modern décor enhancing the intimate indoor and outdoor spaces. The highly anticipated authentic Spanish tapas restaurant offers Midtown diners the best of Spanish food and wine with ingredients sourced both from Spain and locally. The restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner. Hours are Monday – Wednesday from noon to 2 a.m.; Thursday – Saturday from noon to 4 a.m.; Sunday from noon to midnight.
