Spring is here and The Stage is proud to announce their April lineup. This month- Miami’s newest live music and entertainment venue will welcome a thrilling roster of entertainment, contests, auditions, live music, and much more.

Radioboxer “Magic City” CD Release Red-Carpet Event
Miami/ Hialeah’s very own band, RADIOBOXER are taking over the magic city with the release of their long awaited sophomore album “Magic City Ruse” at The Stage. With a red carpet premiere atmosphere mixed with lights, theatrics, amazing art, music, and just the right amount of chaos- the band promises that this album release event will top anything they have ever done in the past. Nil Lara
Nil Lara’s music is a real treat! Lara rediscovered his Cuban roots in ‘guajiro’ while attending the University of Miami creating his own style- fusing Cuban and Venezuelan folklore with inspirations from Western musicians like Stevie Wonder and Pink Floyd. He has toured with artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Blues Traveler, Natalie Merchant and many others. (www.nillara.us)

Break Off Family-Style Sunday
The Stage brings a new twist to Family- Style Sundays by hosting their very first BBoy and BGirl competition. BBoying is Miami’s most recent dance style revolution, originally or commonly known as breakdancing- consisting of four basic elements- Toprock, Downrock, Freeze and Power Moves. Contestants may register at the door and show their skills in this thrilling one-on-one competition.
Date Performing: Sunday, April 3rd, 2011 at 1-6pm

The Lee Boys
These Miami natives are known for their unique version of the “Sacred Steel” music genre. described as the fused sounds of Gospel music with that of the hard-driving, blues-based beat. They have traveled the world and shared the stage with musicians such as Little Richard. They created a name for themselves with their unique sounds and are now headed back to The Stage for another grand performance.

Crawfish Boil with Gardners Market & Farms Stores, UM Frost School of Music & WDNA’s Litchfield Music Camp scholarship auditions
The Stage hosts their first ever Crawfish Boil presented by Gardner’s Market and the Farm Stores. Family Style Sunday’s patrons will experience a fun filled day of events with prestigious musical performance by UM Frost School of Music. The crowd will participate in WDNA’s search for two lucky recipients to award with full scholarships to the prestigious Litchfield Jazz Camp in Connecticut, considered the most prestigious of its kind.

Rebel Run Tuesdays Kick off Event
The Stage kicks off Rebel Run Tuesdays with a bang! Every Tuesday patrons are to experience a flash back in time with pin up models & bartenders, burlesque performances, live tattoo demonstrations, hot rods, featured DJs, interactive artists, live music and much more. Every Tuesday brings a whole new concept, filled with surprises.

Afro Roots 2011 World Music Festival Kick Off Event
Miami Dade County Community Arts and Culture presents the 13th Annual Afro Roots World Music Festival, The Stage is kicking off this event with a bang with performances by jean p jams and Dj le spam.

BONKA
Colombian sensation, Bonka bring their talents to The Stage with their unique blend of Latin tropical sounds and Pop music. Before experiencing fame and popularity early on with their first Platinum selling album, the group started off playing covers from The Used and Diego Torres in Bogota schools. Following their immediate popularity among the youth of Colombia, Bonka is hoping to score another Platinum award with their sophomore album Lo que nunca nos contamos. (www.bonka.net)

Xperimento CD Release Event
Complete with an all star cast of Grammy nominated artists, Xperimento has teamed up to create a sound like no other. With influences from Guns n Roses, to Hector Lavoe and Bob Marley their mix of Latin Reggae, Hip-Hop, and R&B, has helped them to create a genre as diverse as The Magic City. The Stage is the latest entertainment venue to join Miami’s booming Music Corridor which stretches from the outskirts of Brickell to the Brooklyn-esque Design District.
