Informed Families Presents Free “Lunch & Learn” Workshop In March
Thursday, March. 24, 12-1 p.m.

Workshops Designed to Educate Parents and Members of the Community About Addiction in Adolescents

In an effort to help educate parents and members of the community, Informed Families/The Florida Family Partnership invites parents/caregivers to attend its FREE Lunch & Learnworkshop in March. Workshop will explore addiction in adolescents.

An optional $10 box lunch will be available for purchase for each workshop when making reservations.

Thursday, March. 24, 12-1 p.m.: “Does Your Child Have an Addictive Personality?”
Angela Conway, MBA, LMHC, CAP, and supervisor of the adolescent program at South Miami Hospital’s Adolescent Addiction Treatment Program, will lead this workshop. In the substance abuse field for over 20 years, she has worked extensively with adolescents, adults, and family members whohave been affected by the disease of alcohol and drug addiction. Conway alsomaintains a private practice providing individual and couples therapy treatment. She earned her master’s in Clinical Psychology from Catholic University of Guayaquil, Ecuador; she attained her MBA in Health Services Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Fla. Conway conducts education programs for the community via television, radio, conferences and at schools. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. The March workshop is co-sponsored by Informed Families and Baptist Health South Florida.
