Coconut Grove Arts Festival celebrated another successful year By Betty Alvarez

Celebrating its 48th anniversary, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival® is one of the nation’s premier outdoor fine Arts Festivals. The Festival showcased the works of over 360 of the finest artists and craftsmen in the world. A signature event of the South Florida cultural calendar, the Arts Festival offered visitors the opportunity to meet with exhibiting artists, sample fine cuisine, enjoy live entertainment and take a walk through history. Poster artist, Guy Harvey, the highly acclaimed conservationist was on hand to discuss his inspirations for the “Treasures of the Bay”. The Culinary Pavilion, one of the highlights of the festival, hosted presentations from South Florida’s leading chefs. Throughout this President’s Day weekend, there was live music in Peacock Park with a variety of local performers to entertain the entire family.
