Author of Dylan’s Candy Bar – Unwrap Your Sweet Life
CEO/Founder of Dylan’s Candy Bar Sweets Emporium and Daughter of Fashion Icon Ralph Lauren to Speak About Book; Attendees to Enjoy Complimentary Candy

The Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale and Books & Books are hosting a Meet & Greet with Dylan Lauren, author of the book Dylan’s Candy Bar: Unwrap Your Sweet Life (Clarkson Potter, 2010) and CEO/founder of the nationally-acclaimed Dylan’s Candy Bar sweets emporium. Lauren is also the daughter of legendary fashion icon Ralph Lauren and author Ricky Lauren.

Attendees will enjoy free, delicious sweets from Dylan’s Candy Bar.

The four-color book, which encourages readers to discover the magic behind candy, features pop art-inspired photographs, mouthwatering candy recipes, inventive candy craft projects, ideas for how to use candy for special occasions to entertain and amaze, and candy history, trivia, and fun facts; plus much more. Readers get a peek inside Dylan Lauren’s life through personal anecdotes, memories, and photographs, all of which led her to create Dylan’s Candy Bar. As Dylan Lauren attests, “To me, candy is more than an accessible everyday product we consume; candy is an artful masterpiece!”

Renowned for merging the worlds of art, fashion, and pop culture with candy, Dylan’s Candy Bar has now become the world’s largest candy store. Home to more than 7,000 candies from around the globe, Dylan’s Candy Bar stores are located in New York City; East Hampton, N.Y.; Roosevelt Field in Garden City, N.Y.; Houston, Texas and Orlando, Fla. Sweets from Dylan’s Candy Bar are also available at prestigious wholesale venues around the globe.

Dylan Lauren was immersed at an early age in design, art, and fashion. After graduating from Duke University with a major in art history, she traveled the globe in search of the world’s most exciting confectionery creations. By 2001, she realized her childhood dream by opening her first candy store, which was inspired by Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Dylan Lauren and her “candy-centric” tips for living the sweet life are often featured in newspapers and publications across the country.
