Starlent Performing Arts Hosts Auditions for New TV Show at Miramar Cultural Center

Starlent Performing Arts is holding auditions for a new TV show that will be filmed at the Miramar Cultural Center, seeking performers between the ages of 8 to 24. Celebrity-judged casting auditions for main and supporting characters will be held on Monday, December 20 at 5 p.m.

Performers are asked to prepare a minute and a half (90 seconds) of one or more of the following based on talent and preference: *Monologue (Prepare two monologues showing contrasting characters if you are not singing/dancing) Song or Dance.

The judges are as follows.

• Vice President of Slip N Slide Records Julian Boothe who represents Rick Ross, Plies, Jagged Edge, and many more.
• President of Time Is Money Records Sean Kingston
• Recording artist Black Dada whose hit singles are “Imma Zoe” and “My Baby.”
• Grammy-nominated composer and music producer J-Vibe with hit records “Heaven Sent” by Keyshia Cole and “Come Over” by Estelle featuring Sean Paul among others.
• Renowned vocal coach and vocal producer Anita Wilson who has been featured on Jay Leno, Oprah Winfrey, David Letterman and Regis & Kathie Lee for her work with Whitney Houston, Betty Wright, John Secada, Backstreet Boys and Gloria Estefan.

The cast of the 13-week series will change every 13 weeks and show topics will focus on teenage issues including: Bullying, dating, peer pressure, and more. The focus is on the kids with teachers and parents as their guides.
