Photographs of Zoom Contemporary Art Fair at South Seas on 12/1/10

Zoom Contemporary Art Fair at the South Seas Hotel on Wednesday, December 1, 2010.  Now this was a way to start off the Art Basel week!!!!  This is an amazing fair, this is one you need to see.  This was their preview reception and they did it right, wonderful food (the crab cakes were the best) and Voli Vodka drinks (the espresso vanilla fusion was my favorite) and neither stop flowing thru the night.  The art was amazing and the dance and live art performances were just awesome.   I am going back to see it again.

ZOOM Contemporary Art Fair announces their inaugural event will showcase the multifarious styles, media, and genres permeating the burgeoning contemporary arts scene of the Middle East and its diaspora. ZOOM presents a cohesive perspective that uses exhibitions, educational programming, and curatorial input to foster an interconnected discourse. Exploring an unconventional framework, ZOOM’s Selection Committee is comprised of curators Sam Bardaouil (Art Reoriented) and Shamim M. Momin (Los Angeles Nomadic Division LAND, former Whitney Museum), who together with Director Angeliki Georgiou have produced an intimate collection of 20 exhibitions showcasing artists by non-profit organizations and galleries from 11 countries.
