CBS4 Morning Team Gets Still 4 A Cause 11/7/10

On Sunday, November 7
1:30 – 2:30 p.m. in the Center Court at Dadeland Mall

On Sunday, November 7, the members of the CBS4 News Morning Team will sit as still as statues at Dadeland Mall to draw attention to an important cause – CBS4’s Neighbors 4 Neighbors’ Adopt a Family 4 the Holidays campaign. Co-anchors Jawan Strader and Marybel Rodriguez, Meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez and Traffic Reporter Christina Loren will gather at Dadeland Mall and sit perfectly still for an hour — not an easy accomplishment for this crew! — while volunteers from Neighbors 4 Neighbors collect donations that will go to gift cards and toys for families that might not otherwise have the means to enjoy the holidays.

The team will strike their statue poses from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. in the Center Court at Dadeland Mall. Onlookers are advised to get there early to witness this unique celebrity still life.
“There is a real need to adopt families for the holidays and we are determined to do all that we can to make a difference for those in need,’ said Lynn Cameron, executive director of CBS4’s Neighbor 4 Neighbors. “Still for a Cause presents a great opportunity for the South Florida community to meet the CBS4 Morning Team and make a donation that will directly impact people in our community.”

WFOR-TV/CBS4 and WBFS/TV33 are part of CBS Television Stations, a division of CBS Corporation. CBS4 is “always on.” For local news, sports scores, weather updates, traffic reports, entertainment news and the best video experience available on the web 24 hours a day, go to CBS4.com.

“Dadeland Mall is proud to welcome the CBS morning team here in support of helping families in need this holiday season,” said Ozzie Dominguez, General Manager of Dadeland Mall. “We encourage our shoppers to be here and show their support for CBS4’s Neighbors 4 Neighbors.”
