Break out the bellbottoms, pull out the polyester and get ready to channel Donna Summer as Pridelines Youth Services presents it fifth annual adult gala fundraiser – “Boogie Nights – A Flashback to the ‘70s.” The cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner and dance will flashback to the era of Greg and Marsha Brady on Saturday, September 11, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Treetop Ballroom of Jungle Island. Tickets are $100 each or $1,000 for a table of 10 and are available at www.pridelines.org.

“The adult gala is one of the most anticipated Pridelines events of the year,” said Victor Diaz-Herman, executive director. “This year, we’re returning to our roots with a prom-themed gala so Pridelines supporters can re-live the prom they probably never had, with a date they probably weren’t allowed to take. And it will all take place under the disco ball, of course.”

Money raised from the gala goes to support Pridelines’ mission of educating and empowering South Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and their straight allies through programming, counseling, support and referral services from a safe and diverse environment. In addition to proceeds from ticket sales, an exciting silent auction will help raise funds for the organization. Among the items and experiences up for the highest bid is a seven-night stay in Buenos Aires.

Underwriting for “Boogie Nights” is graciously provided by 42 Below vodka, with additional support from Mystique Flowers and Events. Diaz-Herman says additional sponsorship opportunities are still available by contacting him at (305) 571-9601.
