Join the Visionaries for an evening with Pamela Golbin, chief curator of the Fashion and Textiles Museum at the Louvre, for a talk about her recent projects, followed by a book signing of Madeleine Vionnet. The avant-garde couturier Vionnet invented the bias cut and her principles of elegance, movement, architectural form, and timeless style continue to inform contemporary fashion. A Franco-Chilean born in Peru and raised in Miami, Golbin studied at Columbia University and the Sorbonne, and has been a curator at the Louvre since 1993 organizing landmark exhibitions worldwide. Reception immediately following. Cocktails graciously provided by Grey Goose. Space is limited, RSVP required: 305.535.2645 or rsvp@thewolf.fiu.edu. Free for members, the FIU community, and students with valid ID; $10 all others.
