Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber Of Commerce (MDGLCC) 9th Annual “Blue” Gala Awards Celebration
Spotlighting Cultural Arts Members of the MDGLCC and honoring corporate and individual leaders of the Miami-Dade LGBT Community

Steve Rothaus will accept the award.

Safe Schools South Florida: The Hilton Miami Non-Profit of the Year Award
Robert Loupo, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Safe Schools South Florida, will accept the award.

George Neary: Bacardi/Grey Goose “Blue” Diamond Award
George Neary will accept the award.

MDGLCC selected honorees for their long-term commitment to fostering diversity, as well as for their efforts in contributing to the overall well being and quality of life in South Florida. “As the voice of the LGBT business community, the Chamber is especially proud to have such an exemplary group to recognize once again this year,” says Steve Adkins, MDGLCC president. Anticipating one of the largest turnouts in its nine-year history, Adkins envisions this year’s gala to be particularly significant in view of the organization’s achievements in growth and influence, especially in light of the new LGBT Visitor Center which recently opened its doors on Miami Beach.

For the past several years, MDGLCC has selected a different color of the rainbow flag for its Gala theme and the theme for this year’s event is “Blue,” which represents knowledge, power, integrity and professionalism, all the qualities that the honorees possess. Attendees are encouraged to wear “a touch of blue.”
