The Vagabond hosts Haiti Relief Benefit 1/20/10

On Wednesday, January 20th The Vagabond, along with support from Miami New Times, Russian Standard Vodka, Supermarket, Sweat Records, Creative Mafia, Diaspora Gallery, and Vivian Valdes, will be hosting an event to benefit ‘Doctors Without Borders.’

Featuring live performances by Miami acts; Afrobeta, Black Bobby, The Hongs and The State Of, with DJs Alain Maximilien aka the Haitian Hillbilly, Ray Milian, Carmel Ophir, Ryan Evans, and more to be added to the mix.

There will be a $5 suggested donation at the door (any additional donations are greatly appreciated). 100% of proceeds will go towards Doctors Without Borders, a medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.

Today, MSF provides aid in nearly 70 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need.

Their teams need your help to do their work. Support this emergency response and ongoing emergency medical work in Haiti by visiting www.doctorswithoutborders.org.
