Concert – Two Love Stories of Frederic Chopin
Damira Feldman, piano
Phyllis F. Resnick, narration
Back again by public demand, Damira Feldman presents piano works in honor of the year-long bicentennial celebration of the master’s birthday. The program is designed to draw a portrait of Polish- French composer Frederic Chopin, the passionate and poetic musician of the Romantic period, who was commonly described as the “poet of the piano.” The performance will focus on Chopin’s relationships with two central players in his love drama, most notably Maria Wodzinska & George Sand.
A finalist in the 2009 Concours International des Grands Amateurs de Piano, Paris, Damira Feldman once again brings her passionate interpretations and technical virtuosity to the Bass Museum’s Steinway grand.
Free with museum admission. Seating limited to first 75 guests.
