MTT TO CONDUCT HIS OWN WORK!!

Catch a special appearance by MTT and a double dose of jazz as our NWS Fellows tackle chamber music favorites. Dedicated to his father, MTT will take the stage to bring you his Street Song for Symphonic Brass that combines edgy dance rhythms and folklike harmonies. Bernstein’s Prelude, Fugue and Riffs is an unforgettable work, serving as an ode to the days of Big Band. Continue the wild ride with Lou Harrison’s Concerto for Violin and Percussion Orchestra. This enchanting work pulls out all the stops with percussionists using flower pots, plumber pipes, clock coils and more for its distinct harmonies. This will be one wildly imaginative Sunday afternoon!
