DRIVEN TO DINE 2009
Florida Heart Research Institute’s Driven to Dine Returns April 25, 2009

In its third successful year, the lavish Driven to Dine, organized by and benefiting the Florida Heart Research Institute, takes place Saturday, April 25, 2008. Priced at $5,000 per limo, with eight people to a limo, this one-of-a-kind and ultra exclusive event allows attendees to indulge in an evening of great food, fun and philanthropy, with a posh cocktail reception, limo transportation and a multi-course meal at one of Miami’s top fine dining establishments.

The enchanting evening gets underway with a sunset cocktail reception at legendary NFL Coach Don and wife Mary Anne Shula’s Indian Creek home. Guests, who will not yet know which of the 12 restaurants will serve them that evening, will mingle with the Shulas and other participants while they enjoy premium libations and hors d’oeuvres provided by Le Cordon Bleu and Pernod Ricard. As both the moon and mood begin to rise, attendees draw envelopes that determine their destined restaurants and are whisked away by limousine to each locale.

The stellar line up of participating chefs/restaurants include Chef Sean Brasel/Meat Market, Chef Peter Vauthy/RED the Steakhouse, Chef Patrick Boucher/Acqua at the Four Seasons, Chef Dale Ray/Casa Casuarina, Chef Gaetano Ascione/Gaia Ristorante, Chef Giancarla Bodoni/Escopazzo, Chef Kurtis Jantz/Neomi’s at the Trump International, Chef Sean Bernal/Oceanaire, Chef Odel Arencibia/ The Capital Grille, Chef Virgile Brandel/Gia-Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar at the Eden Roc, Chef John Critchley/Area 31, and Chef Jonathan Wright/The Setai.

The Shula reception is from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with restaurant arrival scheduled for 8:00 p.m. The evening is priced at $5,000 per limo, with eight people to a limo; round-trip service from a desired location to the reception is offered for an additional fee.
