Winterfest Boat Parade 12/13/08

Winterfest Boat Parade
Saturday, December 13 at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s Winterfest Boat Parade, a holiday tradition in South Florida, will be lead by Grand Marshal Jim Belushi aboard the Glaceau vitaminwater/Choice Environmental Services Showboat (the Grand Floridian) as one million spectators and millions more at home watch the spectacle of lights. The Grandstand Viewing Area (inside Birch State Park on the N.E. corner of Sunrise Boulevard and the Intracoastal Waterway) offers the best seats on land to view the parade. Seats are reserved and assigned, and the gates open at 3 p.m. with fun family activities, live entertainment featuring the Fabulons, The Seminole Outpost and a Culinary Courtyard offering food and drinks and presented by Michelob Ultra. If you plan to view the parade by boat, make sure to anchor by 4 p.m. to avoid shutdowns of the ICW and New River. The 37th annual parade, presented by Seminole Hard Rock, will be broadcast on WSVN Channel 7 and Comcast.
