Pierre-Paul is confronted with a dilemma: leave empty-handed or take the money and run? The new film by Denys Arcand, the Oscar-winning director of The Barbarian Invasions, takes a witty yet touching look at the predominance of money in a society where all other values seem to have crumbled.

Money, power, politics, drugs, scandal, and fast cars. Sheena M. Joyce and Don Argott’s Framing John DeLorean recounts — for the first time — the extraordinary life and legend of the controversial automaker, from his meteoric rise through the ranks of General Motors, his obsessive quest to build a sports car that would conquer the world, and his shocking fall from grace on charges of cocaine trafficking. Interweaving a treasure trove of archive footage with dramatic vignettes starring Alec Baldwin, Framing John DeLorean is a gripping look at a man who gambled everything in pursuit of the American Dream.

Muayad Alayan’s psychological thriller, based on true events, is shot through with dark, entirely believable intrigue that gives new meaning to the adage “the personal is politic.”
